What is CANet® Shift?

Canadian health technology startups will go head-to-head, showcasing their technology at the CANet® Shift – $200,000 Heart Rhythm Innovation Competition.

Three startups will be chosen as finalists to present their technology and ground-breaking solutions to a group of renowned researchers, industry leaders, venture capitalists, and a patient-filled audience.

The pitch winner will receive an astounding CANet-fundedrant totaling $200,000!

Who can participate?

CANet® Shift is open to incorporated startups looking to propel their funding by competing to win a $200,000 CANet® Startup Grant. We’re challenging startups in the heart rhythm technology sector and encourage startups to register a team and participate in this exciting competition.

Can I be involved on multiple teams?

No. You may only be on one (1) team.

Can a team work on or submit more than one (1) application?

No. A team will not be allowed to make multiple submissions or work on more than one (1) submission.

Can I apply if I already have a CANet grant?

Yes. If you are an investigator who already holds a CANet® grant (SRG/MIRG/Commercialization/Etc), you may still apply for this competition.

If our team is a finalist, who can attend?

Travel Expenses, including accommodations, for up to 2 team members per finalist will be reimbursed by CANet to attend the final stage (must be aligned with CANet’s travel reimbursement policy).

Finalists will be contacted and provided complete details regarding travel and accommodation expenses.
